This painting is based on an old black and white sketch of a spring near Enterprise Florida. Having been to Green Springs near Enterprise, which really smells of sulfur. Thinking this should be the same spring I decided to paint it as I know it today. I changed the boat to a modern day canoe, but today there wouldn't be any canoeing allowed.
